I was at a small Woodworking show over the weekend, that is focused primarily on teaching as apposed to selling. It was a great time talking with other artists and craftspeople, most of them I have known for years. It is really closer to a gathering of friends.
In anycase at the show I got to practice doing a demo that I plan on doing at the AAW symposium this year. I won’t go into details on the demo, but I ended up turning a dog/wolf/canine form. The turning was nearly a wombat, as that was what someone in the audience wanted to see me turn, but I had to veto the idea. The piece ended up being an interesting wolf, but since working on it, it decided to be a warthog. Here are some shots of the demo, and in a week or so the finished piece will be up on the website in the gallery section.
